Relic is a stunning male that perfectly captures the essence of the Arctic Sunset project. His signature light bluish gray base provides the perfect backdrop for the glowing Hyper Tangerine pattern, creating a breathtaking contrast that truly resembles a sunset over an Arctic landscape.
Unlike traditional tangerine projects where the orange gradually fades with age, the Arctic Sunset line is known for retaining its vibrant pattern coloration well into adulthood.
Based on our breeding results to date, Relic is expected to pass the Hyper Tangerine trait to approximately half of his offspring, where it can express in varying intensities, from a subtle orange pink blush to the deep glowing tangerine saturation that has made the Arctic Sunset line so unique.

About Our Arctic Sunset Line Of Geckos
The Arctic Sunset line is unlike anything else available in the crested gecko hobby. At the heart of this project is an incredibly rare hyper tangerine trait that continues to express through adulthood instead of fading away.
Unlike traditional tangerine animals, the tangerine in the Arctic Sunset line is not part of the base color. Instead, it saturates the cream pattern itself, transforming what would normally be cream or white markings into vivid shades of glowing tangerine and orange. This creates an entirely different visual effect and gives the animals a richness of color that is exceptionally rare.
Most tangerine hatchlings on the market lose much of their orange coloration as they mature, with the bright pigment gradually fading to cream or white by adulthood. Arctic Sunset is different. The vivid hyper tangerine pigmentation remains well into adulthood, even many years later. Adult animals continue to display rich orange patterning that simply doesn't disappear with age, making this one of the most unique color projects we've ever worked with.
Another remarkable feature of the line is that the tangerine pigment can fire independently of the base color. Even when the base is fired down, the tangerine pattern can remain bright and saturated, producing a striking contrast that is virtually unheard of in crested geckos.
After years of selectively breeding this line, the inheritance pattern appears to behave as an incomplete dominant trait. Approximately half of the offspring inherit the hyper tangerine genetics, although the intensity can range from subtle orange highlights to exceptionally vibrant, glowing tangerine coloration. This natural variation makes every animal unique while consistently producing offspring with the signature Arctic Sunset look.
